Jacob Korn's "EP1" was one of the deep house highlights of 2014; four tracks of made-to-pleasure dance music that were a real joy, either on a club floor, or through headphones. I haven't the foggiest idea why "EP2" passed me by so apologies for being out of step but I'm glad "EP3" found its way to me and I shan't be letting anything else he releases escape my clutches. Whilst not quite of the same scintillating quality of "EP1", this is still streets ahead of most of the competition and has a very bizarre sting its tail. Closing track "Thru The Eye" is another excellent slice of deep house but it's not the music you'll be paying attention to but rather the slightly pitched up male vocal sample, present throughout, continually bemoaning the fact that (amongst other things) objects introduced into the body through the nose invariably find their way out via the anus. Its presence simply couldn't be more incongruous and is one of several reasons to make a purchase. Nic Brown
